Qualified counsellor on Auckland’s North Shore
I have been counselling for 10 years and have worked with therapy clients for the past four years. As a highly trained counsellor, I have a Master of Counselling (Hons), a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Counselling) and a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies. I am a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors (MNZAC), a member of Aotearoa New Zealand Transactional Analysis Association (ANZTAA) and an ACC-registered counsellor. I am currently working towards my CTA (Psychotherapy) – Certified Transactional Analyst. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a journalist for a variety of publications around the world, in particular South Africa, Hong Kong, and New Zealand. The life experience, knowledge and multicultural perspectives I am able to bring to my work has helped me to understand the problems of a wide variety of clients. I have a great respect for my clients’ cultural background and beliefs and acknowledge the tiriti o Waitangi.
